We will have a Full Buck Moon in the sign of Capricorn this Monday, July 3 @ 4AM PST. This full moon is opposing the Sun AND Mercury who will both be in the sign of Cancer. (An opposition in astrology is a placement of directly opposing energies that can bring struggle and tension that needs to be navigated or achieve balance.) Capricorn and Cancer are known as sister signs in the zodiac because they are both cardinal signs who care a lot about. Cancer cares more about the needs of others, Capricorn reminds Cancer to tend to their needs to and deeply understands the emotions of caring and wanting to be helpful for others. As cardinal signs, both Cancer and Capricorn are beginners, doers, achievers.
This oppositional energy will be filtered through the moon in Capricorn in the 7th house of relationships with others and others money or resources. The Sun and Mercury in Cancer will be placed in the 1st house of the self, the body and the personality. Which means that we will be feeling tension to observe, define and possibly make changes in the our interpersonal relationships and partnerships with others (business or personal). With Mercury (the planet that rules our thoughts, perspectives, and intellect), we might have tension that leads to an argument or a deep calling to SPEAK UP for our needs and boundaries are in these relationships with others. Don’t feel pressured to act and make hast decisions, instead reflect on what resistance and uncomfortable feelings you are feeling in these relationships.
Additional placements that I feel will be affecting this full moon cycle as well are Chiron in Aries trining Mars AND Venus in Leo. (A trine is a positive aspect in astrology that means the placement involved in it will have a harmonious energy.) Venus and Mars will be placed in the 3rd house ruling over our thoughts, intellect and perspectives. Yeeep. The third house is ruled by Mercury so that Mercurial opposition with the moon might feel amplified with Venus and Mars sitting here in Leo. Venus is the planet of love and aesthetics, things we are attracted too. Mars is the planet of desires and actions, how me make love as person and how we actually DO things.
Chiron in Aries will be in the 11th house ruling over community, ideals, and humanity. The planet Chiron is an asteroid known as the wounded healer. It can reveal in your chart what you most need to heal in this lifetime. With Chiron in Aries (the zodiac sign that is ruled by Mars, the planet that we are trining!!! here) this fiery God of War (Mars) energy is calling us to be an inner warrior and move through our wounds. The positive trine between this placement and Mars and Venus will be calling you to break down and shift your ideals and programming that came from your ethnic, cultural, or societal communities. A reframing on what you are attracted to and what your find beautiful. A call to release old actions and programming that were instilled in you by society and family. Thinking about how to you want to move through communities and your ideals. This is a great time to end familial and cultural cycles that limit us from taking action on what we are drawn to.
